Purpose and Role in the Motorcycle (based on the original manual):
The Bearing Housing (MT801140) serves a dual critical purpose within the Dnepr MT11 engine architecture. Structurally, it provides the necessary support for the crankshaft's front main bearing, ensuring the crankshaft remains perfectly aligned during high-RPM operation to prevent premature wear of the crank gear. Functionally, this housing acts as the body for the engine's oil pump. As per the technical manual, the gear pump installed within this housing is actuated by the driving pinion of the timing gear, sucking oil through a gauze filter to feed the main oil line. Because it manages the forced-feed lubrication system, any failure or wear in this housing can lead to a drop in oil pressure, which is signaled by the emergency oil pressure indicator lamp on the dashboard. Replacing this part is necessary if you detect oil leaks around the front bearing area or if the internal pump body has suffered wear that compromises engine oil pressure.
Benefits of Buying:
- Exact OEM Fit: Manufactured to the strict tolerances specified in the MT11 technical manual, ensuring seamless integration with the crankcase and timing gear.
- Optimized Lubrication: A new housing ensures the integrated oil pump operates at peak efficiency, providing maximum protection for your connecting-rod bearings and centrifuge.
- Enhanced Engine Stability: Eliminates crankshaft play and vibration by providing a rigid, secure seat for the front main bearing, extending the overall service life of the engine.
